Uninstalling Simcenter Amesim

From the Siemens Install Program

  1. Launch the Siemens Install Program (SIP) using Windows > All > Siemens > Siemens Install.

A User Account Control dialog opens, asking if you want to allow the app to make changes to your device. Click Yes.

  1. Select Manage Software > Remove Products.

  2. In the Product Removal Selection window, select from the following:

Sort by Target — (Default) Lists all target folders which were installed using the Siemens Install Program (SIP).

Sort by Product — Lists products (by version) installed with SIP.

  1. Select individual or multiple products to remove, or click Select All to remove all products.

  2. Click Next to proceed to the Confirm Removal Selection window.

  3. In the Confirm Removal Selection window, verify the product(s) to be removed and specify whether the Siemens Install Program should discard user-modified files.

The Keep user-modified files check box is activated by default. Be aware that accepting the default may cause the product removal process to take longer.

  1. Click Remove.

The Removing Products window indicates the status of the product removal. To stop the removal process, click Cancel. This pauses the removal process and opens a dialog box where you confirm the cancellation. Selecting Yes results in an incomplete and unstable removal (leaving applications in an unusable state) and returns to the Siemens Install home window. Selecting No removes the dialog box and resumes the product removal.

  1. When Removal Complete appears, click Done to return to the Siemens Install home window.

If all products were removed, a dialog box asks if you would like to remove the Siemens Install Program (SIP). Click Yes to remove SIP, or click No to retain paths to previously installed sources and to retain SIP.

From Windows settings

  1. Go to Windows Settings.

  2. Select Apps > Installed apps.

  3. Search for Simcenter Amesim in the list, click the three dots on the right and select Uninstall.

A User Account Control dialog opens, asking if you want to allow the app to make changes to your device. Click Yes.

  1. Select your language and click OK.

  2. The Siemens Install Program opens. To proceed, follow the instructions from step 3 in the From the Siemens Install Program section.
