Introduction

High Performance Computing (HPC) provides the computational power to solve complex problems that are difficult to address on personal computers within a reasonable timeframe. Techniques used to speed up simulations include model partitioning (splitting a model into several parts) and parallel processing (also known as distributed computing).

HPC can be seen as an extension of the Parallel Processing feature on a much larger scale, where the primary goal remains running multiple case studies on a single model — though more complex cases, such as those involving co-simulation, can also be envisaged.
