Initiating a batch run

batch run initiating

In Simulation mode perform the following steps:

Procedure

  1. Click on the Run parameters button to produce the Run parameters dialog box.

  2. Enable the Batch radio button in the Simulation type area.

  3. Start the run in the normal way.

Note Each run creates its own results file and, if there is any linear analysis, its own jac files.

Note You can configure the application so that the Design matrix dialog box opens automatically prior to any simulation run when the Start Simulation button is clicked and Run type is set to Batch in the Run Parameters dialog box. See the Simulation section in the Reference Manual.

Results

For the current example, when your batch run is complete, you need to plot some curves. Plotting curves for batch runs is slightly different from plotting curves for standard runs.

You can either run your batch study on your local machine, use remote machines, or use HPC. Select either the Local, Remote or HPC option in the Parallel processing tab in Simcenter Amesim Preferences.

See the High Performance Computing and Parallel Processing manuals for full details on this feature.
