Question
Why is the compilation window blocked during the first use of the Simcenter Amesim-Simulink interface?
The Simcenter Amesim-Simulink interface is used for the first time.
When compiling the Simcenter Amesim model with Simulink blocks, the compilation window in Simcenter Amesim hangs, and the following information is displayed (for example):
Answer
Simcenter Amesim is waiting for the user to select his current compiler.
Procedure
- Right-click in the grey part of the compilation window, between the Help and Close buttons, and select Interactive compilation, as shown in the figure below:
A text zone is displayed.
- Type the value corresponding to the compiler you want to use (Microsoft Visual C++ compiler in this example) and press Enter, as shown in the figure below:
Results
The compiler you select must be compatible with Matlab, in this example Matlab is correctly set up to be used with the Microsoft Visual C++ compiler (Windows), and the Simcenter Amesim model compilation is successful.
