The configuration file

The configuration file corresponds to the mapping between the parameter definitions in the Excel file and those of the model components in Simcenter Amesim .

The file is embedded within the model. It is then possible to apply it directly to an Excel file whose layout is the one used to create the configuration file. It is very useful since you create the configuration file once and then use it for any Excel file made with the same template.

If the layout of the Excel file changes, the configuration file tries to find the new location of the parameter cells based on the keywords (name of the parameters). Then the configuration file is updated to fit the new Excel file structure.

The configuration file supports integer and real values for parameters.

For tables, a file is created that contains all data from the Excel file.

The configuration file is able to handle unit conversion. That is to say the units and values of the Excel parameters are sent to component parameters in Simcenter Amesim accordingly.
