Graph Digitizer — Introduction

In some studies it is useful to digitize or extract curves from printed images when numerical values are not accessible — for example, to configure components relying on characteristics and specifications from manufacturers, or various kinds of measured properties. The Graph Digitizer converts the image of a graph into numerical values, which can then be used to create tables.

Digitizing data means converting extracted curves to a format directly usable in Simcenter Amesim. The Graph Digitizer provides a bridge with the Table Editor, enabling data processing when needed, and also allows launching the Graph Digitizer from the Table Editor.

Practical access to the digitized data is always done through a submodel able to read and use it.

The Graph Digitizer can be launched from the Simcenter Amesim Tools menu, or from the Table Editor ribbon in the Data section.
