Active unit configuration

The Active unit configuration list displays the 3 default unit files supplied by Simcenter Amesim:

• International System of Units (SI)

• American system

• AeroSpace Configuration

In addition, the list displays any local or company configurations that have been created.

In the example above, in addition to the three default files listed, two other configurations are present:

• Legacy Configuration

• My local configuration

When you select one of these files in the list and click OK, that configuration is applied to the active system.

Note

If you configured personal unit settings in a previous version of Simcenter Amesim Run through the Preferred Units Preferred Units dialog box, these configurations will be present in the Active unit configuration list, as long as the Starting directory is the same in the current version as in the previous version. Such units are listed as Legacy Configurations:

If your Starting directory is different in the current version, previous configurations can be added to the list manually. See Import Unit Configuration.
