2D tables

To save the data as a 2D table, choose the 2D option from the Table type drop-down list.

Cell selection

The selection group corresponding to the 2D table formats allows you to specify the selection of cells for the X1-axis values, the X2-axis values and the Y data values.

When the 2D table type is selected, the following conditions apply:

• The X1 and X2 axes selection can be made by column, or by row.

• For the Y data selection, selection by column refers to the X1-axis values, and selection by row refers to the X2-axis values.

This implies that the size of the Y data selection must be in agreement with the sizes of the X1-axis and the X2-axis selections. In other words, the number of columns in the Y data selection must match the number of cells in the X1-axis selection, and the number of rows in the Y data selection must match the number of cells in the X2-axis selection.
