Introduction
Automation Connect
Automation Connect is a tool enabling Simcenter Amesim models to be connected to various kinds of real or virtual automation controllers. The tool is designed to enable a fast and easy interface to map and exchange variables. Two main families of use-cases are being addressed: "Hardware-in-the-Loop" (HiL) Hardware-in-the-Loop and "Software-in-the-Loop" (SiL) Software-in-the-Loop . Moreover, note that "mixed" HiL/SiL mixed HiL/SiL cases are also possible, which means cases where automation hardware is only partly simulated. The following figure describes the main HiL and SiL modes currently supported by Automation Connect.
