The categories
Category buttons
The categories are located on the right-hand side of The Component Customization main window. When you double-click on one of these, a dialog box of component icons appears (figure below) which will be familiar with all users of Simcenter Amesim, Simcenter Amesim Run and Submodel Editor.

Some right-click menus are available from the Category dock window. Please refer to the Right-click menus section .
In Component Customization, when you select one of these icons you get a Submodel List dialog box (figure below).

This contains a list of generic and customized submodels and supercomponents associated with the selected icon that Component Customization can find using the current path list. You can select one item in this list.
Click on OK to load the object into Component Customization. If it is encrypted, you will be asked for a password required to open encrypted object password. Figure 97: You must know the password if the submodel is encrypted
The View button is enabled only for a supercomponent. Click on this button to see the supercomponent constituents. If it is encrypted, you will be asked for the password.
Click on External variables to display the external variables of the object.
If you click on Help, Component Customization will attempt to load and display documentation on the selected object.
Click on Cancel to close the dialog box.
