Known Limitations

Limitations

Known limitations The submodels in the following cases do not have equivalents, so the tool cannot convert them automatically. The user must replace them with their equivalents manually.

  • User-defined submodels with the Submodel Editor

  • Encrypted submodels

  • Dynamic submodels

  • CFD-1D lines

  • Submodels using the Sense Internal Variables feature

For Discrete partitioning systems, users must first convert their initial hydraulic systems and then rebuild the corresponding sketch with thermal hydraulic discrete partitioning submodels. See the Thermal Hydraulic manual for more information.

Certain parameters need to be handled by the user after conversion.

  • The initial value of the flow rate for lines with inertia cannot be converted. See the Hydraulic manual for more information.

  • For some submodels (TK00, PS00, QS00, HRPU1, BAFS01, BAFS02, BRFS01 and BRFS02) the index of hydraulic fluid might not be converted properly, and users will need to set the index after conversion.

There might be parameters which have no equivalent in the corresponding Thermal Hydraulic submodel, in this case:

  • Pre and post-processing features will no longer be valid after conversion. This may concern scripts, batch parameters, post-processing variables, watch variables, plots, dashboards and animations.

  • Exposed parameters in supercomponents will disappear from the exposed parameters list after conversion.
