Comment dialog

You can add comments to components or lines. These comments appear as tooltips when you move the mouse over the component or line concerned:

In the above example, the mass_friction_endstops has the comment Projectile: 20 kg.

Inserting a comment

Procedure

1. To insert a comment, right-click the component or line and select Comment.

The Comment dialog box opens:

2. Enter whatever text you require in the New comment field.

3. Click OK to confirm your comment, or Cancel to close the dialog box without creating a comment.

Viewing and modifying comments

You can view and modify existing comments by opening the Comment List, available from the Sketch menu. It displays the submodel names and aliases of all the components and lines in the sketch and any comments that have been created for them.

To edit a comment, or add a new comment, select the relevant line and then click Edit comment. The Comment dialog box opens, allowing you to edit an existing comment or add a new one.

Comments can be multi-line, but only the first line is displayed in the Comment List. You can sort the list by clicking on the column titles.
