The Simcenter Amesim Study Manager in detail > The Study Manager > Performing design exploration
Execution
Start
You can start a study execution using the Start Run button. This starts the selected study in the study list.
You can only start one study execution at a time, so the Start Run button is disabled when a study is being processed. However, you can access and modify other study settings.
You can either run your studies on your local machine, use remote machines, or use HPC. Select either the Local, Remote or HPC option in the drop-down menu. If you select HPC, you can use the HPC run settings tab to configure the run settings.
When you start an HPC run, a message indicates that the study has been submitted to the HPC cluster. See the High Performance Computing manual for full details on this feature.
Stop
To stop a study execution, use the Stop Run button. It will immediately stop all the processes attached to the study execution. It is enabled only when a simulation is running.
Run details
When you start an execution, the Run details pane automatically expands, giving you access to the Log and Warning/Errors tabs.
The Log tab displays general information regarding the study execution.
The Warning/Errors tab displays:
the number of the runs that have been done,
warnings concerning model simulation or study processing,
errors concerning model simulation or study processing.
