Network submodel for remote machines
network submodel
Figure 14: Network (socket) submodel
This submodel makes it possible to share values between Simcenter Amesim and a third-party application. Obviously, this works also between two Simcenter Amesim models. This is based on TCP/IP sockets. This means that data exchange is not limited on a single machine. This method can be used on two remote computers.
Hereafter we illustrate a very simple example that shares data between two Simcenter Amesim models. One of these models is called the server, the other is the client. The Simcenter Amesim models get their communication functionalities using a submodel.
