Shared memory submodel for local co-simulation

shared memory submodel

Figure 19: Shared memory submodel

This submodel makes it possible to share values between Simcenter Amesim and a third-party application. Obviously, this also works between two Simcenter Amesim models. This is based on shared memory. Unlike with socket mode, shared memory is limited to a local machine. This submodel should be preferred to socket mode for local co-simulations since it is almost 5 times faster.

Hereafter we illustrate a very simple example that shares data between two Simcenter Amesim models. One of these models is called the master, the other is the slave. This example is very similar to the previous one with sockets in the Library contents section.
