The Interfaces menu > Create interface block
Load setup
This button allows you to load a setup file that automatically fills in all fields in the Interface Icon Creation dialog box. When you click the button, a file browser opens with which your can browse to locate your setup file.
Note
You must nonetheless select the interface type through the Type of interface selection list:
The format of the file is fairly simple. It is a plain text file (that you can create with a simple text editor such as Notepad), listing names of ports and text to enter in the different fields of the interface icon. An example is given here:

Lines starting with a # symbol instruct Simcenter Amesim what to do with the lines that follow. The section # Inputs to other software defines inputs on the left-hand side of the Interface Icon Creation dialog box:

The section # Outputs from other software defines outputs on the right-hand side of the Interface Icon Creation dialog box, and the section #Labels defines the text displayed in the three text fields in the middle of the icon (which is for information purposes only).
Note that the number of input/output ports is limited to 99.
Note
It is sufficient to put #Inputs and #Outputs to define the input and output sections in the file.
