The Signal bus feature

BUSDUPLICATOR BUSSELECTOR BUSCREATOR The Signal bus feature Bus creator It is now possible to create signal buses directly from the Simcenter Amesim sketch toolbar. These signal buses are intended to replace (and will steadily phase out) the existing implementation of signal buses (see the Bus subcategory of the Signals, Controls library).

In terms of functionality, these signal buses offer the same features and fulfill the same needs as the previous (so-called) legacy buses, albeit through somewhat different workflows.

The main challenge that signal buses respond to is the need to represent heterogeneous data flows between various subsystems in a model, typically the flow of measurement data from a physical component or subsystem towards a control system, which uses these measurements as inputs in order to send control commands back to the subsystem.
