Multi-DLL Compatibility
Multi-DLL Compatibility
Most Simcenter Amesim libraries comply with the Multi-DLL feature ( see Real-Time and Multi-DLL Compatibility for the complete list). Using a so-called "model-based" context (i.e. models are encapsulated), the Multi-DLL functionality makes it possible to link together several Simcenter Amesim models in one executable without having to deal with conflicts in the generated code involving either extern functions or the use of static variables for storing model properties. Models created using Multi-DLL-compliant libraries are truly independent and will not interfere with each other, which is a pre-requisite for a safe multiple-system export.
Multi-DLL makes it easier to deal with multi-disciplinary subsystems in real-time, even if different teams developed these subsystems. Merging all the models into a single one for running on a real-time target, which is not very practical, is not needed anymore.
