Power and Energy Analysis Tool GUI and Bar graphs

In order to collect all the data related to energetic analysis, the Power, Energy, Activity window provides all the information you require by collecting all the power and energy variables of a sketch in an automated way.

The Power, Energy, Activity window is accessible from Simcenter Amesim by clicking on Power, energy, activity command in the Simulate menu.

Figure 6: Access to the Power, Energy, Activity window

It opens a window with three tabs. The first tab is dedicated to the Power variables, the second one to Energy variables and the last one to Activity (see the

Activity Index manual for full details how to use the Activity Index tool).

It is worth mentioning that these 3 Power, Energy and Activity tabs have to be chosen to fit best the targeted use:

  • Power for component sizing and/or adjusting the requirements in terms of installed power supplies,

  • Energy to monitor the energy consumption of a system this is especially interesting to optimize the total cost of ownership of systems.

  • Activity, for advanced users who want to reduce the complexity of their models for specific purposes.
