Create 3D object from 3D basic shapes
Create a sphere
Procedure
Click Sphere in the Basic objects section of the ribbon bar.
Hover your cursor over the 3D area. A guide plane appears beneath your cursor, helping you select the sphere's placement. Left-click to confirm the location.
Move your mouse left or right from the sphere's center to adjust its radius. Moving outward increases the size, while moving inward decreases it.
Click to validate the radius of the sphere.
The sphere is created, you can refine the property values from the Object properties panel.
Geometric properties
The sphere's radius is its primary property, measured in meters. The radius must be 0 or greater; entering a negative value prevents the sphere from rendering.
Create a box
Procedure
Click Box in the Basic objects section of the ribbon bar.
Hover your cursor over the 3D area. A guide plane appears beneath your cursor, helping you select the box's placement. Left-click to confirm the location.
Move your mouse to adjust the box's width and the length. Your mouse movement controls the diagonal of the box's base in its XY plane.
Click to validate the size of the box’s base.
Move your mouse up or down to adjust the box's height.
Click to validate the box's height.
The box is created, you can refine the property values from the Object properties panel.
Geometric properties
The box's width (along X-axis), length (along Y-axis), and height (along Z-axis) are its primary properties, measured in meters. The width and length must be 0 or greater; entering negative values prevents the box from rendering. When you enter a negative height, the box extends either in the positive or negative Z direction, depending on where its frame origin is located (bottom, center, or top).
The box's frame origin defaults to the bottom face (the base in the XY plane). You can also set it to the top face (opposite side in XY plane) or the center (midpoint of the height).
Create a cylinder
Procedure
Click Cylinder in the Basic objects section of the ribbon bar.
Hover your cursor over the 3D area. A guide plane appears beneath your cursor, helping you select the cylinder's placement. Left-click to confirm the location.
Move your mouse left or right from the cylinder's center to adjust its radius. Moving outward increases the size, while moving inward decreases it.
Click to validate the cylinder’s radius.
Move your mouse up or down to adjust the cylinder's height.
Click to validate the cylinder's height.

Procedure
Click Torus in the Basic objects section of the ribbon bar.
Hover your cursor over the 3D area. A guide plane appears beneath your cursor, helping you select the placement of the torus. Left-click to confirm the location.
Move your mouse left or right from the center of the torus to adjust its radius. Moving outward increases the size, while moving inward decreases it.
Click to validate the radius of the torus.
Move your mouse up or down to adjust the minor radius of the torus.
Click to validate the minor radius of the torus.
The torus is created, you can refine the property values from the Object properties panel.
Properties
The radius of the torus, its minor radius and ring angle are its primary properties, measured in meters. The minor radius and the ring angle must be 0 or greater; entering negative values prevents the torus from rendering. When you enter a negative radius, the torus collapses into a spherical shape. The resulting sphere's radius equals to the minor radius of the torus.
