Icon designer

You can start the Icon designer facility as a standalone facility if you select Tools > Icon designer. You can also start it when creating a new category icon or when creating an icon for a supercomponent.

With the Simcenter Amesim Icon Designer, you can create and save one or more Simcenter Amesim icons and specify their ports. At a later time, you can import them into Simcenter Amesim to attach to supercomponents (or into Submodel Editor to attach to submodels). Since there is no notion of a submodel or supercomponent in the Icon Designer there are no special restrictions on the ports you can add.

You can start the Icon designerin four ways:

• Directly from the menu bar: Tools > Icon designer.

• When creating a supercomponent.

• When adding a category: Sketch > Category settings > Add category.

• Adding a component: Sketch > Category settings > Add component.
