Working with 3D objects

Create 3D object from composite

A super object is a group of objects encapsulated into a single container that you can use in your 3D scene, and export to use in other models. You can create a super object through the contextual menu from the Scene tree: Create super object.

Creating a super object

A super object can be a single object, or a group of objects. When objects are organized into a hierarchical structure, the super object will be created at the selected node of the hierarchy, containing all the child elements (below that point) of that hierarchy.

Editing a super object

You can edit a super object through the contextual menu from the Scene tree: Edit super object.

When you select this option, the super object is opened in a new 3D scene to display its contents, allowing you to modify them. The main frame of the scene (always visible) defines the main frame of the super object in an animation. Moving the super object with respect to this frame in the super object edition changes the position and orientation of the main frame of the super object.

Leaving super object edition mode

When you have finished editing your super object, you can close it through the contextual menu Edit > Leave super object edition and go back to the main window.
