Introduction
Graph Digitizer
In some studies, it is useful to digitize or extract curves from printed images when numerical values are not accessible. For example, you may need to configure components that rely on characteristics and specifications from manufacturers or various kinds of measured properties. The Graph Digitizer is a tool with which you can convert the image of a graph into numerical values. You can then create tables from these values.
In practice, digitizing data means that you convert extracted curves to a format that is directly usable in Simcenter Amesim. The Graph Digitizer provides a bridge with the Table Editor, enabling some data-processing data if necessary. This bridge also allows you to start the Graph Digitizer from the Table Editor.
Note that practical access and use of your data is always done through a submodel able to read and exploit it.
You can launch the Graph Digitizer from the Simcenter Amesim Tools menu, or from the Table Editor ribbon in the Data section of the Home tab.

When launched, the Graph Digitizer is empty, except for the Open button which you can click to select an image from which to extract numerical values. The Graph Digitizer relies on the common image formats such as PNG, JPG, JPEG, BMP, XBM, XPM, and PS.
