If you have several plots open, you can update all of them in one go using the Global update button or F5. You can illustrate this by plotting several curves in different Plot windows, changing the Final time and then clicking the global update button or F5. You will observe that the x axis timescale is updated for all plots.

This option is redundant if you have already selected Update after simulation, described below.

Update after simulation

Update after simulation

Instead of manually updating plots after each simulation run, you can let Simcenter Amesim perform the update automatically with the option Tools > Advanced > Update after simulation.

To illustrate this we will plot some curves, change the Final time, and perform another simulation run with the Update after simulation option enabled.

Procedure

1. Run a simulation with a Final time of 5 seconds and plot the same curves as in the previous step.

2. Select Tools > Advanced > Update after simulation.

3. Run another simulation with a Final time of 10 seconds.

You will observe that the plot is automatically updated with the new Final time.
