Configuring Sketch animation
Configuring Sketch animation You can configure the Sketch animation through the gear icon , or through a double-click on the color scale. This opens the Sketch Animation dialog box:
Figure 4: Sketch Animation dialog box
In the Sketch Animation dialog box you can configure the colors of the lines and the symbols used during Sketch animation.
Note
You can use the corresponding check boxes to activate or deactivate either or even both the color and symbol display before or during animation.
Line animation
The Sketch animation feature automatically detects variables whose submodel units correspond to the effort variable set in the Simulation Replay dialog box. You can choose between pressure, temperature and potential for effort color animation. You can set a specific unit for the color bar, and select a color map from the list of available color maps. You can autoscale bounds for effort variables, or set your own bounds depending on the operating range of interest to you.
Colors
You can configure the following options:
Variable: use the drop-down list to select the variable you want to animate and its unit.
Colormap: use the drop-down list to select a colormap.
Autoscale: deselect the checkbox to set your own Min and Max values.
Symbols
Similarly to color animation, Sketch animation detects lines whose calculated unit is homogeneous to that of the chosen variable and display arrows which indicate the magnitude and direction of the flux variable. You can choose between volumetric flow rate, mass flow rate, and current. You can autoscale bounds, or set your own bounds for symbols depending on the operating range of interest to you.
You can configure the following options:
Variable: use the drop-down list to select the variable you want to animate and its unit.
Autoscale: deselect the checkbox to set your own Min and Max values.
Inactive components and lines
Use the Gray out factor slider to adjust the visibility level for inactive components and lines.
Component animation
This feature works 'out of the box', with no user configuration required. When applicable, components also display color animations. This feature is supported by the following libraries:
Hydraulic
Thermal hydraulic
Pneumatic
Aircraft Fuel
Electrical basics
Gas mixture
Filling
This feature is supported for the following component types:
Directional valves
Accumulators, tanks
Variable displacements, pumps and motors
Functional valves
Pistons
Electrical switches
