The Simcenter Amesim Run Workspace

Organizing the workspace
You can drag elements of your workspace around to organize it as best suits your needs. In addition, you can "nest" certain elements within other elements.
In the above screen shot we see four panes on the right of the Simcenter Amesim Run workspace: Parameters, Watch parameters, Variables and Watch Variables. If we want to reorganize these panes, we can, for example, click on the title bar of the contextual Parameters window and drag it to a new position. As you drag the contextual Parameters window around the Simcenter Amesim Run workspace, different areas open up into which you can drop the pane.
If you drag the contextual Parameters window over the Cross result, the Cross result automatically moves to accommodate the contextual Parameters window and you can drop it into the blank space that opens to receive it.
Alternatively, you might want to "nest" the contextual Parameters window within the Cross result:
Here, we are dragging the contextual window onto the Watch view tab bar, and as a result a new tab appears at the bottom of the Cross result pane. When we drop the contextual Parameters window, it appears as a new tab:
Now, the contextual Parameters window and the Cross result pane occupy the same space in Simcenter Amesim, and you can switch between them using the two tabs.
To restore the contextual Parameters window and Cross result pane as a separate panes, click the title of one of them to "undock" it. You can now drag it to its original position, or a new one.
You can also drag borders to resize individual panes:
When you drag an element over another element, spaces open up into which you can drop that element. If, however, you do not want to dock the element, but to keep it floating, press the Ctrl key on your keyboard before clicking on the element you want to float. As long as you hold the Ctrl key, the element will not dock.
