Saving the experiment
Now we have set up the circuit and produced some results, we can save a "snapshot" against which we can compare other configurations and results.
Procedure
- Save the Experiment.
Now we have a set of parameters and their corresponding simulation results we will save them as an experiment.
In the Experiment view pane, click the Create embedded experiment button .
The experiment appears in the list.
Right-click in the Description field, select Edit description, and enter the description Body mass 400 kg.
You can also edit the Name field if you wish.
- Create and save a new experiment.
Now we will repeat the procedure for a new value of the mass.
Once again, edit the Body mass component. This time we will set the mass parameter to 200 kg, leaving the other parameters unchanged.
Perform a simulation run and as before, save the experiment, this time entering the description Body mass 200 kg.
- Create and save a third experiment.
Repeat the previous step, setting the mass parameter to 300 kg.
Perform a third simulation run and again, save the experiment with the description Body mass 300 kg.
We now have 3 experiments saved in the Experiment view: Figure 58: Experiments list
- Apply the experiments.
We can load each of these experiments in turn to see the different effects of the varying body masses.
Select exp_1 (body mass 400 kg), right-click the experiment and select Apply parameters and results from the contextual menu.
If you consult the Body mass parameters you will see that the Mass parameter has been set to 400, and if you kept the plot open throughout the process, you will see that it has been updated to correspond to Figure 57.
Apply exp_2 in the same way. Once again the Mass parameter and the plot are updated:

Apply exp_3, and observe that the plot is again updated.
