Boundary and initial conditions
Initial conditions
Increasing the precision of boundary and initial conditions is the complementary advantage to zooming, except this time it is viewed from the CFD user’s point of view. Indeed, 1D data can provide accurate input data to CFD, making it possible to reduce the number of iterations required in order to reach a solution by setting an initial operating point which is already closer to the actual solution.
This can be carried out in several ways, depending on the data exchanged between the 1D tool and the CFD tool.
