Redeclaring components

Replaceable components are surrounded by a frame in the Diagram Editor, so you can easily identify them.

The symbol at the bottom left corner of a replaceable component indicates that you can redeclare it.

To redeclare a replaceable component:

Procedure

1. Right-click on the component and select Redeclare.

   A list with all the compatible components is displayed. Figure 53: Redeclare a component

2. Select the component you want to use.

   Note When the list of compatible components is too long, it opens in a new window. Select the component you want to use and click OK.

Results

When you switch to the Text Editor, you can see your component has been redeclared:
