Simcenter Amesim and CFD Co-Simulation: a brief history

The history of Simcenter Amesim’s CFD  CFD capabilities can be traced back a very long way – all the way to 1998, in fact:

Indeed, through numerous projects, collaborations and developments, Simcenter Amesim now supports a significant number of CFD software packages – among which are some of the leaders in the domain of 3D computational flow simulation. Moreover, over the years, collaborations with such software companies have taken several forms, and for different kinds of test cases.

Note

In the specific case of CD-adapco’s STAR-CCM+, the interface has been entirely specified. Indeed, specific GUIs for coupling with Simcenter Amesim have been created in the latest versions of STAR-CCM+ (from version 9 onwards).
