The  Simcenter Amesim real-time package depends on several different software packages. This makes it impossible to support all potential configurations. The current version of  Simcenter Amesim has been tested with:

  • dSPACE 2023-A (SCALEXIO — Linux based): MATLAB / Simulink / Simulink Coder R2023a

  • dSPACE 2020-B (SCALEXIO — Linux based): MATLAB / Simulink / Simulink Coder R2020b

  • Simcenter Testlab RT 2306

  • Simulink Real-Time (Speedgoat): MATLAB / Simulink / Simulink Real-Time R2023a (QNX64 compiler version needs to be 7.1)

  • Simulink Real-Time (Speedgoat): MATLAB / Simulink / Simulink Real-Time R2020a

  • RT-LAB v2022.1 (Linux): MATLAB / Simulink / Simulink Coder R2021b

  • Concurrent SIMulation Workbench 2021.2-1 (Linux 64-bit): MATLAB / Simulink / Simulink Coder R2020b

Other configurations may work. The files that are version-dependent are normally the template makefiles (TMF) files used by Simulink Coder™ (formerly known as Real-Time Workshop®). See Appendix A: Supported Real-Time target workflows.

Note

Most real-time targets mentioned in this manual require the Simcenter Amesim model to be exported to Simulink first. To do this, you can either use the model exchange interface mode ("AME2SL") or the co-simulation interface mode ("AME2SLCosim"). However, real-time export is by design not possible if the Black Box option is used. See the Simulink Interface manual for more information.

Note

Some Real-time targets are compatible with the Functional Mock-up Interface (FMI) standard. They can directly import Simcenter Amesim models exported as specific Functional Mock-up Units (FMUs) with no need to use Simulink (and the Simulink Coder) for this purpose. Please refer to the section Real-time export based on the Functional Mock-up Interface (FMI) for more details on this topic.
