Visualize quantities with color map
This object allows you to drive the color of an object depending on a value.
Create a color map
Procedure
Click Color Scale in the Physics section of the ribbon bar.A color scale is added to your scene at the bottom right of the scene area frame.Note An object colorscale is added in the Scene tree as a child of the screen root. Visibility of the color scale in the scene can be activated or deactivated through the quick access action.
Set the position of the color scale around the edge of the scene and its orientation.
Change the display by setting a title, a unit, and the color range. For the unit, there is a predefined list and you can also type one in the input field. It is only for display purposes, no unit conversion is managed.
Set the minimum and maximum value of the color scale.
In the Misc. group, you can define the behavior when the value is beyond the limits of the color scale.
Select a 3D object.
In the Visual material group, for the appearance property, select Color map.
The Color scale property appears. Select the one you want to use (you can create several color scale objects).
Associate a data with the Value property.
