Testing the model

During the creation and simulation process, the model needs to be checked before being simulated. This check can be performed using the Semantic check option available from the toolbar, see figure Figure 22, or using the CTRL+F8 shortcut.

This semantic check performs a kind of symbolic and syntactic analysis of the active model and captures the number of errors that may have been introduced during the creation of the model. The result of the semantic check is displayed in the Translation Logs window as shown in figure Figure 23.

If no errors are detected by the semantic check, the Log tab will be displayed in the foreground to keep track of the number of errors and warnings. If errors are detected, the Warnings/Errors tab will be automatically displayed to indicate the location of the errors in the code.
