Vectors of variables

The common feature of state, fixed, constraint and discrete variables is that they all can be vectors, which means they can all have a dimension greater than one. In this case, each component of the vector can have either:

  • the same initial values, or,

  • different initial values.

These vectors can be displayed two ways according to the state of the Expand vectors item of the Tools > Advanced menu:

If this item is checked then each component of the vector is displayed by default:

If it is not checked then the list is collapsed:

Note

If all the components have the same value for a given vector, then the common value is displayed, otherwise the Value field is set to ???:

You can edit individual vector titles to make it easier to distinguish the different components of a variable, for example in a plot:
