Overview of Linear Analysis features > Setting-up the model for system linearization
Defining linearization times
LA times
Linear Analysis Times setting
Procedure
Select Linear Analysis mode .
The item LA Times to define the linearization times is enabled, both from the menubar and the toolbar. Figure 15: LA Times item in the toolbar
Select LA Times to open the interface and set the linearization times.
Figure 16: Linearization times settings
Note If no linearization time is set when you launch the simulation, you are prompted to set one. Clicking Yes opens the Linearization times dialog box directly.
You can enter as many linearization times as you require. Press the Add button and type the value into the new field.
The values of the list are automatically sorted in ascending order. Note When you perform a Stabilizing run or a Stabilizing + Dynamic run, you make sure that your system is at an equilibrium point at the start of the simulation. Therefore, it is useful to add the starting time of the simulation as a linearization time.
Click OK to validate your changes.
The list of linearization times is used when you run a simulation. Note The linearization times are defined in seconds. The linearization times are common to all the simulation runs when you perform a batch.
