Simple output parameters

Here we focus on simple output parameters. They are displayed in a list giving all the properties that define the simple output parameters, as shown in the figure below.

Adding simple output parameters

Simple outputs adding

Simple output parameters are parameters that correspond to submodel variables. Adding a simple output means that you will get the final value (value at the end of the simulation) of the corresponding variable.

Even if you are not interested in that final value, you may have to add a variable in the Simple outputs list in order to build the compound output parameter you want (see Compound output parameters).

In order to add a simple output parameter, go through the following steps:

Procedure

1. Make sure you are in Simulation mode.

2. If necessary select Configure > Study parameters or click the Study parameters button from the mode contextual toolbar.

The Study Manager opens.

3. Select the variable you are interested in and drag it and drop it onto the Simple outputs table of the Parameters tab.

Results

A new line appears in the simple outputs list.

You can also add variables directly from the Studies tab, into the Outputs/Responses list of your active study. These variables will then be available to all studies.

Note

The drag and dropped variable is selected in the output list of the current active study only.

Removing simple output parameters

You can remove output parameters from the Parameters tab only. To remove a parameter from the Simple outputs:

• right-click on it and select Remove, or,

• select it in the list and press the Del key.

Simple output parameter properties

Once you have added simple output parameters to the list, you have to set some properties.

• Name: This is the same as for Input Parameters: see Input parameters.

• Read-only fields: In the list of simple outputs displayed , the fields Submodel, Simcenter Amesim Title and Units are read-only. They concern the origin of the simple output parameter.
