Linear Analysis mode

When you click on a component or line, Simcenter Amesim Run behaves differently according to which of Temporal analysis mode or Linear analysis mode is currently selected in the Simulation contextual toolbar.

In both modes run parameters can be set and runs initiated.

In Temporal analysis mode you can plot graphs. This activity involves Simcenter Amesim Run reading the .results files from either a standard run or a batch run.

For more information on plotting graphs, please consult the Plotting Facilities manual.

If Linear analysis mode is selected a group of special options becomes available:

In Linear analysis mode you can:

  • set the characteristics for linear analyses to be done during next run,

  • look at eigenvalues,

  • create Bode, Nyquist and Nichols plots,

  • examine modal shapes,

  • create a root locus plot.

This involves Simcenter Amesim Run reading .jac (Jacobian) files.

For more information on using Linear analysis, please consult the Linear Analysis manual.

In both modes run parameters can be set and runs initiated.
