The Dashboard in detail > The Object inspector > Modifying properties

Multi-selections

multi-selections

You can select multiple objects of the same type to modify their properties together. Click on the first object, and then hold down the Ctrl button on your keyboard and select the second object. Alternatively, you can drag your mouse over a group of objects to select them.

Figure 26: Properties in common

In the above screenshot, two yellow rectangles are selected. Properties they have in common (xscale, yscale, opacity...) display their current values. Properties that are different between the two objects display the value ???. Now you can modify the properties for both rectangles in one go.

You can also make multi-selections of lines, as long as they are exactly the same type.

If your multi-selection contains objects of different types, the Object inspector cannot display their properties:

This Scene contains rectangles, arrows and an ellipse. The properties cannot be displayed. If, however, your objects are grouped, you can display the properties of the individual objects. See Grouping objects.
