Embedding tables

Simcenter Amesim tables (1D, 2D, ...) referenced by text parameters set to Hidden are embedded in the supercomponent library. These tables are protected by a private key generated automatically during the save operation.

Use an absolute path as the table may not be found if it is referenced by a relative path (e.g. data/table_3d.data):

In this case, you must enter the path to the file using a dedicated file browser, as shown in the following figure.

Similarly, the table format is required. If it is not explicitly indicated in the header of the table, you must set it through this dialog box:

At the beginning of the simulation, the tables stored in the library are instantiated in memory and can be used exclusively by supercomponent submodels.

Warning

When a supercomponent submodel tries to use a table, a first attempt to read it from the hard disk is performed, before trying to find it in memory. This can produce different results if two different tables having the same name are present, both on the disk and within the supercomponent library. This also means that a table stored inside a supercomponent and sent to a third party must be saved with a very specific name. Avoid naming the table with too simple names like table1D.dat.
