Graphic User Interface

This section gives an overview of the Modelica Editor Graphical User Interface (GUI) and the basic functions. A more complete description of the use of the Modelica Editor is given in Working with the Modelica Editor.

The Modelica Editor is comprised of the following panes:

• The Library tree (Libraries)

• The File Browser (Files)

• The Text Editor (Text)

• The Documentation window (Documentation)

• The Translation Logs Window (Messages)

• The Parameters Window (Parameters)

• The Modelica icon sketcher (Icon)

• The Diagram Editor (Diagram)

You can display or hide each of these panes either through the View menu, or through a right-click on the toolbar:
